The Center for Development and Public Policy organized two iterations of the Public Policy Making Process programs between October 2017 and January 2018. The program discusses the process of policy making, both within an agency and within the total governmental process, emphasizing policy and program planning, policy implementation, and the value system of administration. The program covers several topics such as: understanding the public policy process, policy analysis and its tools, policy implementation, and policy termination. The program instructor is Associate Prof. Dr. Sharifah Mariam Alhabashi, from the International Institute of Public Policy & Management (INPUMA), University of Malaya. Each iteration of the program was attended by an eclectic mix of potential official and unofficial policy makers, including representatives from the government, civil societies, NGOs, journalists, and concerned individuals.
